Women's Volleyball Toppled by Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. - The Curry College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Gordon College Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Kanas Court. Set scores were 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

With the defeat, Curry falls to 10-11 overall and 1-5 in the CCC.

Fresh off of becoming Curry's all-time kills leader in Saturday's tri-match at Salem State, senior Lexi Pereira (Attleboro, Mass.) led the Colonels with 12 kills, while also pacing the defense with eight digs. 

Junior Lauren Guzman (Cranston, R.I.) notched seven kills for Curry, followed closely by Amanda Wood (Tokyo, Japan) with six kills.

Curry will be off for nearly a week before returning to the floor for another CCC match against Western New England at home on Tuesday, October 19. First serve from Katz Gymnasium is slated for 6 p.m.
