Women’s Volleyball Beaten by Salve Regina

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's volleyball team suffered its second conference defeat of the season Saturday afternoon, sinking to Salve Regina 3-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action away at Rodgers Recreation Center in Newport, R.I. Set scores were 25-19, 25-12, 25-17.

With the defeat, Curry falls to 7-5 overall on the season and 1-2 in the CCC. Salve improves to 6-4 and 1-1 in the CCC.

Salve's Brighton Solheim and Nicole Karabaich led their team each with 11 kills with 31 and 24 total attacks leading to the success of Salve's attacking side.

Colonel senior Lexi Pereira (Attleboro, Mass.) totaled nine kills through 27 total attacks leading Curry. Brooke Reissfelder (Biddeford, M.E.) led the Colonels in assists, tallying 15 to her name.

Curry will return to the hardwood on Tuesday for a CCC matchup with the University of New England on the road. First serve from is scheduled for 7 p.m.
