BOSTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of UMass Boston Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at the BC High Tennis Courts.

With the loss, Curry falls to 0-4 overall on the season.

The Beacons opened the day by winning all three doubles matches by 8-1 score lines to take a 3-0 lead into singles play.

UMass Boston continued to roll in singles play to close out the shutout victory. Sophomore Serena Wilson (Windsor, Conn.) had the tightest match for Curry, but could not rebound from falling 6-1 in set one, eventually dropping set two 6-2.

Curry will continue its three-match road trip by heading to Western New England University on Saturday afternoon. First serves are slated for 12 p.m.
