Women's Tennis Falls in Rain-Shortened Affair

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team fell to non-conference opponent UMass Boston 7-0 Thursday evening at home.

With the defeat, Curry drops to 2-5 overall on the season.

Curry's Alexandra Borkov (Newton, Mass.) and Samantha Ferrara (Brewster, N.Y.) fell to Lydia Chan and Meagan Carney of UMass Boston in a close doubles match closing out with a score of 9-7.

Two singles matches of this non-conference bout were unfinished due to rain. Curry's Borkov was leading at the time of her match's suspension.

Curry will return to the court Wednesday after a short break as they continue CCC action with a match at home against Salve Regina at 3:30 p.m.
