Women’s Soccer Outplayed by Western New England

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 3-1 by Western New England University in a Conference of New England women's soccer match Saturday morning at Walter M. Katz Field.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 5-9-3 and a conference record of 1-5-2.

Curry's only goal was scored with just 16 seconds remaining in regulation. Catia Fernandes (Acushnet, Mass.) sent a corner kick into the box where Maddie Resendes (Coventry, R.I.) headed the ball over to Kiera Lindmark (Norfolk, Mass.) who snuck the ball past the goalie to finally put the Colonels on the board.

Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) played the entire match in goal for the Colonels, making five saves in the loss.

Curry College closes out the regular season with an away game at Roger Williams beginning at 7 p.m.
