Women's Soccer Overwhelmed by Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Curry College was defeated 5-1 by the University of Hartford Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer action at Al-Marzook Field.

The only Colonel goal of the contest came late in the game when Brooke Sullivan (Berkley, Mass.) scored her first collegiate goal in the 85th minute of play, an unassisted score that found the lower left corner of the net.

Sydney Resendes (Coventry, R.I.) led the Curry attack with three total shots, two of which were on goal.

Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) started the game in goal for the Colonels, making six saves in 67 minutes of play when she was replaced by Lexi Smardon (Scotland, Conn.), who finished with five saves.

Curry College (3-5-5, 1-2-1 CCC) returns to action on Saturday (10/14) in a road matchup against Suffolk beginning at 3 p.m.
