
MILTON, Mass. - Curry College played Gordon College to a 1-1 draw Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer action at Walter M. Katz Field.
Eight Curry seniors were honored prior to the start of competition as part of the game's Senior Night ceremony.
The Colonels scored first when senior Avery Ewell (Marshfield, Mass.) took a free kick from midfield and sent the ball into the box for her classmate Sydney Resendes (Coventry, R.I.). Resendes settled the ball and fired it into the back of the net to put Curry on top 1-0 just eight and a half minutes into the game.
Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, making six saves throughout the contest.
The Colonels finished with 17 total shots, including four shots on goal.
Curry College (3-4-5, 1-2-1 CCC) continues conference play with a road matchup against Hartford on Tuesday (10/10) beginning at 4:30 p.m.
