Women's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw Against Wellesley

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College played a scoreless draw against Wellesley College Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference women's soccer game at Walter M. Katz Field.

Junior Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) and sophomore Lexi Smardon (Scotland, Conn.) split time in goal for the Colonels, combining for three total saves throughout the contest.

Seniors Madison Frye (Abington, Mass.) and Sydney Resendes (Coventry, R.I.) led the Curry offense with both players finishing with four total shots and two shots on goal.

The Colonels more than doubled the amount of shots of their opponent, finishing with 18 total shots compared to only seven for Wellesley. Curry also finished with nine corners compared to only two for the Blue.

Curry College (1-4-4, 0-2-0) returns to action on Saturday (9/30) with a non-conference road matchup against Nichols. Kick-off is slated for 11 a.m.
