Women’s Soccer Draws with Salve Regina on Senior Day

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College Women's Soccer continued Commonwealth Coast Conference action with a tie against the Salve Regina Seahawks at home Saturday afternoon.

With the tie, Curry moves forward with an overall record of 9-4-3 and 4-1-3 in the CCC.

Prior to the start of the afternoon conference matchup, Curry College Women's Soccer recognized their six seniors in a special senior day celebration. Ryleigh Shortell (Broad Brook, Conn.), McKenna Reid (Irvine, Calif.), Erica Blanch (Danvers, Mass.), Jessica Gooch (Dracut, Mass.), Samantha Borges (Somerset, Mass.), and Oliver Hutchinson were joined on the field by their friends and family for the ceremony.

The conference matchup on Walter M. Katz Field saw a scoreless opening half. Salve Regina marked just four shots in the first half compared to Curry's ten. Curry's Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) faced four shots in the first half, saving all. 

The second half would not see a goal for either side despite five shots from the visitors, closing out the CCC matchup on a 0-0 draw.

Curry's Hannah Correa marked seven saves on seven shots faced in the Commonwealth Coast Conference tie at home.

The Colonels return to the field Tuesday as they travel to face conference opponent Gordon College at 7 PM.
