BEVERLY, Mass. – The Curry College women's soccer team closes their season with a 3-0 loss against Endicott College in the CCC quarterfinals.
With the loss, Curry ends the season with an overall record of 8-10-1 and 2-6-1 in the conference. With the win, Endicott's record improves to 11-3-2 overall and 8-1 in the CCC. The number one seeded Endicott will face fourth-seeded Gordon Wednesday.
Endicott was able to find the back of the net on three occasions. The first goal came in the 23rd minute with a Madeline Mucher strike facilitated by a through ball from Jayme Caponigro. The Gulls put two more in the net in the second half. Riley Rischitelli of Endicott propelled the Gulls to a 2-0 lead just seven minutes into the second. Mucher would score her second of the contest just over 15 minutes later sealing the victory and post-season progression.
Colonel's goalkeeper Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) tallied six saves in the contest totaling 1-3 in net for Curry this season.
