MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College women's soccer team fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent the University of New England Saturday evening at Walter M. Katz Field. 

With this loss, Curry falls to 1-5 in the conference and 7-8 overall this season. With the win, the University of New England improves to 5-1 in the conference and 8-4-1overall.

The contest went scoreless through the first 45, Curry able to tally eight shots to U. of N.E.'s five.

The Nor'Easters found the back of the net on two occasions in the second half. Freshman midfielder Morgan Diefenbach netted a strike off of an assist from freshman forward Tori Keyes. With one second remaining in regulation, UNE senior forward Merideth Kennedy found the back of the net with a powerful header capitalizing on a corner kick delivered by sophomore midfielder Bella Reil putting the Nor'Easters up 2-0 and sealing the victory.

The Colonels return to the pitch Tuesday for a CCC matchup against Nichols. Kick-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
