Women’s Soccer Toppled by CCC Opponent Salve Regina

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Curry College women's soccer team was beaten by Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Salve Regina 3-0 Saturday afternoon away at Reynolds Field in Newport, R.I. This marks the Colonel's third loss in conference play this season.

With this defeat, Curry drops to 0-3 in the conference and 4-6 overall this season. With the win, Salve improves to 2-1 in the conference and 6-5 overall.

The Colonels went scoreless through the contest despite recording nine shots on goal. With the nine saves by Salve's keeper Georgia Drake, the Seahawks comfortably came out on top.

The Seahawks found the back of the net on three occasions. Goals were scored by Olivia Pickard and Erin Harnisch (2).

The Colonels return to Walter M. Katz Field Monday for a non-conference matchup against Keene State. Kick-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
