Women's Soccer Stymied by Clark

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Curry College women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by Clark University on Saturday morning in non-conference action at Granger Field.

With the loss, Curry falls to 2-2 on the season.

Isabella Ramirez notched the game-winner for the hosts in the 85th minute to give the Colonels the heartbreaking loss.

Curry freshman netminder Stella Schofield (Marshfield, Mass.) was stellar between the pipes, making 11 saves and taking the tough-luck loss.

The Colonels were outshot by the Cougars by a margin of 18-6, but five of Curry's six shots landed on target forcing Clark's Morgan Small to earn her shutout. Curry junior midfielder McKenna Reid (Irvine, Calif.) led her team with two shots in the game, both landing on cage.

Next up for Curry, they will look to return to the win column with a Tuesday night non-conference battle against UMass Dartmouth. Kickoff from Katz Field is slated for 7 p.m.
