Women's Soccer Participates in Local Easter Egg Festival

MILTON, Mass. – Several members of the Curry College women's soccer program participated in a community service event on Saturday, March 24 at Cunningham Hall in Milton. The 20th annual Easter Egg Festival included over 150 local children and their families.

"The importance of community service activities for our student-athletes cannot be overstated," said seventh-year Curry Women's Soccer Coach Jason Tassinari. "My players and assistant coaches get a unique opportunity to go out in the community, interact with the children and their families, and make a positive impact and lasting impression on their lives.  The Easter Egg Festival was such a fun and rewarding day for all of us."

The Curry student-athletes colored eggs with the children, painted faces, and helped them with coloring books. They even had photos taken with the Easter Bunny. The event was hosted by the Milton Parks and Recreation Department.

"Paul, Dave, and Bonnie put on a first-class event," says Coach Taz.  "This was our seventh straight year being involved with the Easter Egg Festival and it's something we look forward to every spring."
