Worcester, Mass...The Clark University women's soccer team won their fourth game of the season with a 3-1 victory over Curry College in non-conference action on Tuesday night. Junior Alex Pariseau (Millbury, Mass) scored two goals in the first half to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. Pariseau scored her goals in the 21st and 34th minutes and pushed her season total to three goals.
Junior Macy Golman (Dallas, Texas) and Sarah Berube (Wilmington, Mass. ) assisted on the goals. Curry's junior Hannah Wells (Whitman, Mass.) cut the lead down to one with just under four minutes to play in the first on Curry's only shot of the half.
Clark out shot Curry 16-1 in the first half and 20-2 overall and the Cougars held a 8-0 advantage on coner kicks.
First-year Danielle Black (Middleboro, Mass.) pushed Clark's lead to 3-1 with her first collegiate goal in the 64th minute.
The Colonels sophomore Kristen Buzzotta (Lynnfield, Mass.) made eight saves in net allowing all three tallies before giving way to classmate Haley Rice (Lexington, Mass.) who didn't face a shot.
Clark improved to 4-1 while Curry dropped their first game of the season and are 3-1 on the year.
The Colonels are back in action tomorrow when they host Wheaton at 6:30 p.m. The Cougars will travel to Park Ave rival WPI on Saturday, September 16 for their first NEWMAC contest of the season at 1 p.m. (Game recap courtesy of Clark University Sports Information)
