Overtime Loss for Women’s Lacrosse in Overtime

BOSTON - Curry College was defeated in overtime 16-15 by Suffolk University in a Conference of New England women's lacrosse game at East Boston Memorial Park.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 3-6 and open up conference play with a loss.

Trailing 15-12 heading into the final quarter of regulation, the Colonels made a final push to even the score. Natalie Keenan scored early in the period, assisted by Sarah Joseph, to kickstart the comeback. Two minutes later, Nicole Michel scored an unassisted goal while Sarah Kelly connected with Keenan, who scored again to even the score at 15-15 and send the game to overtime. After three minutes of overtime play, the Rams scored to end Curry's comeback hopes.

Grayson Goolgasian fueled the Curry offense with five goals while Natalie Keenan and Michael earned the hat-trick with three goals apiece. Grace Grosso added two, while Samantha Sprissler and Ava Doyle both finished with one goal.

Vivi Helquist played the entire game in net for the Colonels, making 12 saves in the loss.
