Glavin Posts Career-High Seven Points as Women's Lacrosse Downs TCCC Rival New England College, 19-6

MILTON, Mass.- Curry College scored 10 goals in the first half and nine in the second en route to a 19-6 victory over New England College on Tuesday afternoon in Milton, Mass.  With the win, the Colonels remain undefeated and improve to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.  The Pilgrims fall to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in TCCC play.

Senior attacker Ashley Hansbury (Chelmsford, MA) led the Colonels with eight points on five goals and three assists. Junior attacker Lauren Glavin (Billerica, MA) had a career-high game scoring five goals and chipping in with two assists.  Senior Jessie Koffman (Andover, MA) had six points on three goals and three assists.  Sophomore attacker Ana Bottary (Hull, MA) had three goals and one assist.  Senior midfielder Kelly Champagne (Wolfboro, NH) scored two goals while freshman Kaitlin Cloutier (Montpelier, VT) scored one.

The Colonels defense had another strong showing causing 10 turnovers.  The Colonels, which held a slight 14-13 advantage in draw controls, also scooped up 17 groundballs to New England's seven.

New England College had four first half goals, but were held to just two in the second.  Senior attacker Amanda Kennedy (Tewksbury, MA) led her team with four goals.  Juniors Amanda Naime (York, ME) and Sam Aucoin (Henniker, NH) each chipped in for one.

Curry's senior goalie Maria Lynch (Billerica, MA) finished with 13 saves in net to capture her eighth consecutive win.  In net for New England was junior Caroline Doherty (Miller Place, NY) who made 14 saves for the loss.

The Colonels will travel to non-conference opponent Emerson College on Thursday, March 31 for a 6:00 p.m. game time. New England College travels to Gordon on March 31 in a 4:00 p.m. start.
