Archambeault Named Goalie of the Year; Reid and Berkowitz Also Recognized by CCC

Beverly, MA - The CCC announced their end of the season women's ice hockey awards on Monday, which saw three Curry Athletes recognized.

Graduate student Soleil Archambeault was named the Goaltender of the Year. Among CCC goalies, she ranked first in saves per game (31.27), third in save percentage (94.7) and fourth in goals against average (1.73). Additionally, she saved 20 of 21 shootout attempts. In addition to being named the Goaltender of the Year, Archambeault was named to the conference's first team.

Joining her on the first team was Danielle Reid. Reid, a junior from Plainview, NY, led the team in both Goals and assists, with 12 goals and 13 assists. Those marks placed her in third and fourth in the CCC respectively, and the 25 points was tied for second. Reid also led the conference with 126 shots. Reid also finished 7th in the conference in face offs won with 207. This is made impressive by the fact that the six people in front of her took at minimum 80 more face offs.

The conference's leader in face off wins with 301, Hannah Berkowitz, was named to the conference's second team. A junior from Mattawan, MI, Berkowitz ranked second on the team with 11 goals, and third with 10 assists. Her 21 points trailed only Reid. At the conference level, Berkowitz took the third most shots at 117, and had the seventh most points. Her 11 goals tied her for fifth most in the CCC.
