Women's Ice Hockey Slips Against UNE

CANTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 4-1 by the University of New England Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's ice hockey action at the Canton Ice House.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 2-3 while dropping to 0-1 in conference play.

The Colonels struck first when Grayson Goolgasion (Johnston, R.I.) sent the puck down the rink where it bounced off the boards at center ice and was scooped up by Julia Small (Methuen, Mass.). Small beat the defense on a fast break and managed to sneak the puck past the goalie to score her first goal of the season and give Curry a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Ava Doyle (Lynnfield, Mass.) was also credited with an assist.

Soleil Archambeault (London, Ontario) played the entire game in goal for the Colonels, making 26 saves in the loss.

Curry College returns to action on Saturday (11/11) in a road rematch against the University of New England beginning at 7 p.m.
