Joe Reedy was named the head coach of the Curry women's basketball program in the fall of 2021 after serving as an assistant coach with the Curry men's program for three seasons.

In his first season with the men's team, Reedy implemented study hall sessions in conjunction with Academic Services, which led to the highest team grade point average in program history. In addition, he was in charge of designing Adidas gear packages for all student-athletes and coaches. Reedy also played a key part in recruiting 12 student-athletes as a part of the Class of 2023, and played an integral part in all parts of the program including scouting, recruiting, and on-court coaching. He also maintained the video database of all games through Synergy and developed scouting reports from the film.

Before Curry, Reedy spent two years as an assistant coach at Wheelock College. In his second season with the Wildcats, he was named Associate Head Coach.

Reedy also has experience as the Head Coach of Rise Above Basketball in Boston in 2019.

As a student-athlete at Wheelock, Reedy was a member of the men's basketball team from 2013-16. He also played one year at New England College in Henniker, N.H. During his time at Wheelock, he served as a team captain and holds all-time program records in field-goal percentage in a season and a career. Reedy graduated from Wheelock in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
