
WENHAM, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 70-57 by Gordon College in a Conference of New England women's basketball game Tuesday night at Bennett Center.
With the loss, the Colonels' overall record falls to 7-15 and their conference record drops to 4-11.
Curry outscored the home team 13-10 in the first quarter, with Lauren Morse, Lauren Dunn, and Libby Harris each knocking down a three-pointer to give the Colonels the early lead.
The second and third quarters saw the Fighting Scots jump out to a sizable 20-point lead. Curry battled back in the final quarter, outscoring Gordon in the fourth by a margin of 17-12 with Grace Fleuriel leading the offensive charge with seven points in the period alone.
Morse and Sophie Hilbrunner both finished with 12 points while Hilbrunner added seven rebounds and a block. Dunn led the squad with 14 points and seven rebounds as well as two steals on the defensive side of the ball.
Curry College returns to action on Saturday, February 15th, to host Western New England in a CNE matchup beginning at noon.
