Women's Basketball Toppled by Wheaton

NORTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's basketball team was tripped by Wheaton College by a final score of 61-41 in non-conference at Emerson Gymnasium.

With the defeat, Curry drops to 4-2 overall on the season. 

Curry was paced by freshman guard Lauren Dunn (Hanson, Mass.), who exploded for 19 points and nine rebounds to lead all players in both categories. She shot 5-of-9 (55.6 percent) from the floor, and scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half. 

Sophomore Kylie McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) and senior Kristyanna Remillard (Abington, Mass.) each notched five points for Curry in the defeat.

The Colonels will turn around quickly with a road trip to Wentworth Institute of Technology on Wednesday night to open up Commonwealth Coast Conference play. Tip-off from Huntington Avenue is slated for 5:30 p.m.
