Women's Basketball Drops Season Finale to Nichols

DUDLEY, Mass. – Curry College fell by a 59-49 final to Nichols College on Saturday afternoon.

The Colonels led 25-23 at halftime but the Bison would respond and take control in the second half. The Bison took the lead for good late through the third quarter and never looked back.

Freshman Mina Pabst (Middleboro, Mass.) and sophomore Katie Smith (East Bridgewater, Mass.) paced Curry with 10 points each. Sophomore Lillian Gray (Brooksville, Maine) led the scoring of the bench with nine.

The contest was neck-and-neck for nearly three quarters with the Bison having a 41-36 advantage. Nichols at the end of the stanza. The Bison outscored the Colonels 18-13 in the final frame to come away with the 10-point victory.

Curry shot 29 percent for the game and made four three-point field goals (4-for-23). Nichols shot just over 30 percent in the contest.

This marked the final game of the season for both teams.
