NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Curry College Women's Basketball Team was defeated by Luther College, 81-54, on Day 1 of the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn. The Colonels slip to 5-3 on the season, while Luther improves to 8-1.
Curry was led by senior Kylie Beltz (Pequot Lakes, Minn.) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Junior Shannon Griffith (West Hartford, Conn.) contributed 10 points and six boards. Senior Samantha Corcoran (Hampton, N.H.) had a team-best 10 rebounds to go along with eight points.
The Colonels wrap up play in Nashville on Tuesday afternoon, tipping off at 4:00 p.m. against St. Vincent.
