Game One
After three scoreless innings the Leopards went ahead 1-0 in the fourth on a homerun. They would then double their lead in the sixth on a single. They would open things up with four runs in the seventh. Renee Gonneville had two hits for the Colonels. Jillian Rogers started in the circle, and went 4.2 total innings, striking out four, and allowing just one run.
Game Two
The Colonels started the scoring in the second game in the first inning, as Morgan Barmash had an RBI double, her first of four hits in the game. The lead was then doubled in the second on an error. The Leopards would get one in the third and then four in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead. A bunt single from Abby Greene in the bottom of the fourth made it 5-3, and then the Colonels went to work in the fifth. Jillian Rogers, Barmash, and Gracie Keyes all singled to load the bases, and then Jenelle Munoz had a single of her own to make it 5-4. Later in the inning Green would pick up two more RBIs with a single, making it 6-5. The Leopards would lead the seventh off with a walk, and that runner advanced to third on two wild pitches. But Rogers would strike out the last batter of the game to secure the win.
The Colonels had 14 hits, led by Barmash's four. Renee Gonneville, Munoz, and Greene each had two. Munoz started as the pitcher for the Colonels, and allowed five runs in 3.2 innings, but only one was earned. She was relieved by Rogers who pitched three shutout innings, striking out four.
Up Next - The Colonels will have a quick turnaround, as they host Plymouth State on Wednesday.
