Softball Places Three on CSC Academic All-District Team

WESTON, Mass. - Three Curry College softball players were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team as announced on Tuesday afternoon. Seniors Jordan Ferullo (Burlington, Mass.) and Taylor McDermott (Durham, Conn.), and junior Natalia O'Kleasky (Coventry, R.I.) all earned the distinction.

To be eligible a student-athlete must have competed in 90 percent of the team's games or have started in 66 percent of the team's contests. Pitchers must have logged 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched while maintaining at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Ferullo posted a .255 batting average with a career-high 25 hits, 11 RBIs, and nine walks. In her senior campaign, the infielder scored 12 runs, had a pair of doubles, and four stolen bases.

Infielder McDermott had 26 hits throughout the season, including a pair of home runs. The senior added 10 RBIs and scored eight runs to go along with a .252 batting average.

O'Kleasky posted a career-high .280 batting average, adding 21 hits and 12 RBIs. The junior outfielder had five doubles and walked seven times throughout the year.
