MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated in both games of a non-conference collegiate softball game against Suffolk University Tuesday afternoon at D. Forbes Will Field.

With the losses, the Colonels' overall record falls to 9-11, and their conference record is 0-4.

GAME ONE: Suffolk 4, Curry 3

After the Rams tied the score at 2-2 in the top of the sixth, Curry retook the lead in the bottom of the inning when Gonneville singled to right field to drive in the third Colonel run.

Rogers pitched the entire game for the Colonels, including a 20-pitch at-bat in which the batter hit 15 foul balls before striking out to record the second out of the game. Rogers pitched a no-hitter until the sixth inning, recording 10 total strikeouts.

GAME TWO: Suffolk 7, Curry 1

After accruing a seven-run deficit, Curry attempted a comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning when Hailey King (Cranston, R.I.) singled to right field, setting up Sam King (Stafford Springs, Conn.), who doubled to center field to score the Colonels' only run of the game.

Caitlyn Wood (Saugus, Mass.) took the mound for the Colonels in game two, striking out seven batters throughout the entire contest.
