Saluti Tabbed as Softball Captain for 2018 Season

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College Softball Team has announced its team captain for the 2018 season. Senior infielder Jessica Saluti (Braintree, Mass./Thayer Academy) was chosen by her teammates and coaches to lead the 2018 Colonels during the upcoming season. This will be Saluti's first season as a team captain.

Saluti had a solid junior year for the Colonels. She played in 37 regular season games, batted .250 and led the team with 84 fielding assists. Saluti was the everyday shortstop for the Colonels in the 2017 campaign.  In her Curry career so far, Saluti has played in 83 games, has 60 hits and has 311 fielding chances. Her academic record speaks for itself, as Saluti leads the team with a cumulative GPA of 3.91 and has earned 105 credits in her first three years at the college.  She has received the NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Award in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons. Recently she was chosen as the team's Paula Martin Memorial Award winner, recognizing her "Hard Work and Dedication on the Softball Field".
