SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College junior Taylor Ahearn (Salem, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and ECAC Division III New England Pitcher of the Week for the period ending on March 16.

Ahearn posted an impressive 4-0 record and a spotless 0.00 ERA as the Colonels opened the season with a spring break trip to Fort Myers, Fla. Ahearn, who earned every win in of Curry's 4-4 week, allowed just three unearned runs in 29-2/3 innings of work. The junior notched 29 strikeouts while surrendering just 16 hits and six walks. She went the distance in three of her four starts, allowing just one hit and striking out eight in an 8-1 win over Nazareth, giving up four hits and fanning nine in a 6-1 victory over New Jersey City, and surrendering six hits and whiffing nine in a 2-1 triumph over Oneonta State.
