GAME ONE
Box Score

Curry got on the board right away in the opener, on a three-run homer to left from senior Amanda Peters (East Bridgewater, Mass.), which scored first-year Megan Flaherty (Medway, Mass.) and sophomore Mikaela Carney (North Reading, Mass.).

The Nor'easters tied things at 3-3 in the bottom of the third. With one out, junior Maegen Johnson (Standish, Maine) slapped a double down the left field line, and moved to third on a single down the right line by sophomore Casey Brigham (New London, Conn.). Junior Ashley Gott (Winterport, Maine) followed with an RBI-single to right, and, after an error allowed Brigham to come around, Gott scored on a double to the gap in left-center by sophomore Erin Grover (Biddeford, Maine).

Still tied entering the sixth, first-year Chelsey Munsey (Leominster, Mass.) recorded her third hit of the game to start things off for Curry. She moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, and scored as classmate Heather Carrier (Scarborough, Maine) put another single up the middle. After the second out of the inning, Carrier plated the fifth run for the visitors on a pinch-hit single by first-year Samantha Scanlon (Raynham, Mass.).

Lundstrom earned the win in the opener, striking out eight in the process.

Brigham, Gott, and Grover all reached base safely on three occasions for the UNE lineup. Junior pitcher Erin Lyons (Salem, N.H.) took the loss, giving up six hits and striking out two.

GAME TWO

The nightcap went scoreless through three, before Curry chalked one up in the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Munsey. The visitors added another in the fifth, courtesy of an RBI-single by Flaherty, only to see the Nor'easters cut the margin in half (2-1) in the bottom of the frame.

Curry made the difference two again (3-1) in the top of the seventh after base hits by Carrier and Scanlon were followed by another RBI-single from Flaherty. The Colonels notched two more in the inning to increase the lead to 5-1.

UNE sophomore Megan Gauger (South Paris, Maine) drove in the second run for the home team in the bottom of the seventh with her second hit of the game, but the Nor'easters could not get any closer.

Mayo fanned four while giving up seven hits to get the victory, while first-year Taryn Vigeant (Terryville, Conn.) supported the offense with a pair of hits in the contest.

Junior Julie Bigelow (Montpelier, Vt.) struck out two over 6.1 innings in taking the loss for UNE, which visits Nichols College for two games on Saturday (12 p.m.).

Curry travels to Roger Williams University the same day for a TCCC twinbill beginning at 5 p.m.
