Men's Lacrosse Outdone by Golden Bears

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 12-8 by Western New England University Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference men's lacrosse game at Walter M. Katz Field.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 3-9 and a conference record of 1-2.

The Colonels scored twice in the opening quarter, with both goals coming from junior Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.). Albie DiBella (Norwell, Mass.) assisted Dalzell on the first goal, and Nicholas Cole (Beverly, Mass.) was credited with the assist for the second. An unassisted goal by Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.) in the second quarter left the Colonels trailing 8-3 heading into halftime.

Curry attempted to come back in the third and fourth quarters, outscoring the Golden Bears 5-4 in the second half. Dalzell scored his third goal of the game off a pass from Sean Young (Marlton, N.J.) to earn the hat trick. Connor Bryant (Methuen, Mass.) and Mac Kline (Essex, Conn.) joined the list of goal scorers, with Bryant scoring twice in the half while Cerone capped off scoring for the Colonels.

Liam O'Neill (McMurray, Pa.) and Evan Falandys (Leominster, Mass.) split time in net for the Colonels, combining for eight saves.

Curry College returns to action on Wednesday, April 10th, with a road game against Nichols beginning at 7 p.m.
