Men's Lacrosse Storms Past Nor'easters

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College won its first Commonwealth Coast Conference against the University of New England, defeating the Nor'easters 7-5 in a men's lacrosse game at Walter M. Katz Field.

With the victory, the Colonels improve to an overall record of 3-8 and a conference record of 1-1.

Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.) connected with Albie DiBella (Norwell, Mass.) at 13:21 in the first quarter to give Curry an early 1-0 lead. Next Anthony Lewis (Middletown, R.I.) connected with Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.) with under three minutes remaining to give Curry a 2-1 lead.

The second quarter belonged to Curry as the Colonels scored three times in the period. Dalzell picked up his second goal after receiving a pass from DiBella. Sean Young (Marlton, N.J.) and Cerone scored unassisted goals with under one minute remaining in the half to give the Colonels a 5-1 lead.

Cerone scored another unassisted goal to kick off the third quarter followed by four straight goals by UNE. Dalzell capped off scoring for the game with his third of the game late in the fourth. Ryan McGillivray (Burlington, Mass.) earned the assist on the play.

Liam O'Neill (McMurray, Pa.) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, making seven saves in the victory.

Curry College returns to action on Saturday, April 6th, with a road game against Western New England beginning at 3 p.m.
