Men's Lacrosse Rallies to Stun Wentworth in Regular Season Finale
The Curry College men's lacrosse team won its final regular season game of the 2023 season on Wednesday evening, defeating the Wentworth Institute of Technology 11-10 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Sweeney Field.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's lacrosse team won its final regular season game of the 2023 season on Wednesday evening, defeating the Wentworth Institute of Technology 11-10 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Sweeney Field.
With the victory, Curry closes out the regular season with an overall record of 5-10 and CCC record of 2-6.
Wentworth jumped out to an early advantage on the Colonels, outscoring Curry 3-1 in the opening quarter to grab the early edge. Curry's lone goal in the quarter came from sophomore Mac Kline (Essex, Conn), a man-up marker.
The hosts narrowly outpaced Curry in the second quarter by a margin of 4-3 to take a 7-4 advantage into halftime. Two of Curry's second quarter goals came from sophomore Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.), with junior Connor Bryant (Methuen, Mass.) also finding the net.
The Colonels started on the comeback trail by holding a 2-1 edge in the third quarter. The visitors got goals from Bryant and senior Nick Perfetuo (Norwell, Mass.) to head to the final quarter trailing 8-6.
Curry kicked it into another gear in the fourth, tallying five goals to close out the comeback thriller. Dalzell scored two goals in the quarter, while Perfetuo, senior Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.), and junior Stephen Stackhouse (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) all added one.
Between the pipes, junior Austin Brown (Scarborough, Maine) notched eight first half saves, but earned a no-decision. Freshman Niko DeCola (Weymouth, Mass.) made three saves in the second half of action to earn his first collegiate win.
