Men’s Lacrosse Defeated by Nichols College

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College Men's Lacrosse fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Nichols College 11-4 on Katz Field Wednesday evening.

With the loss, Curry moves forward with an overall record of 4-8 and 1-4 in the CCC.

The visiting Bison took charge in the first quarter, scoring six unanswered goals through the opening 15 minutes.

Curry's Stephen Stackhouse (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) notched the first goal for the Colonels with 4:15 remaining in the first quarter. Stackhouse's goal was assisted by junior midfielder Anthony Lewis (Middletown, R.I.). 

Curry's second goal of the evening was notched by sophomore attacker Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.), assisted by Pat Modoono (Billerica, Mass.) to close in on the visiting Bison's lead.

Midway through the second quarter, senior attacker Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.) netted an unassisted shot to bring the score to 8-3, still in favor of the visitors.

Curry's final goal was tallied by junior midfielder Connor Bryant (Methuen, Mass.) with two minutes remaining in the third quarter, closing out the Commonwealth Coast Conference matchup in favor of the visiting Nichols College Bison, 11-4.

Curry freshman netminder Nico DeCola (Weymouth, Mass.) notched five saves in the conference loss at home.

The Colonels return to the field on Saturday as they host CCC opponent Salve Regina at 11 AM.
