BIDDEFORD, Maine - Sawyer Allen (Sutton, Mass.), a sophomore face-off specialist on the Curry College men's lacrosse team, was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference's Specialist of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Allen had a terrific week taking faceoffs for the Colonels, winning 41-of-50 draws (82 percent), with 32 ground balls. In Curry's CCC win over Gordon on Saturday, Allen won all but one of his 24 faceoffs taken, scoring two goals, and scooping up a Curry single-game program record 20 ground balls.

Allen and the Colonels will be back in action on Wednesday, traveling to Endicott College to face the Gulls at 4 p.m.
