DANBURY, CT - The Curry College Men's Lacrosse team fell to non-conference opponent Western Connecticut State University 20-4 Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, Curry dips to 3-4 on the season.
WestConn took a comfortable lead in the first quarter, finding the back of the net on five occasions. Curry tallied one goal from Tim Sullivan (East Walpole, Mass.) assisted by Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.) with 1:18 remaining in the quarter.
The Western Connecticut Colonials tallied nine more goals in the second quarter to further their lead compared to Curry's two from Dane Hanson (East Providence, R.I.) and Brody Dalzell.
The Colonels would only score one more goal in the afternoon matchup, Sullivan marking his second of the day.
WestConn would take the contest by a final score of 20-4 at home.
Curry's Bobby Cannan (Bernardsville, N.J.) was credited with the loss on the road, marking two saves in 17:51. Evan Falandys (Leominster, Mass.) saw 30 minutes in between the pipes, tallying seven saves.
The Colonels get back out on the field Wednesday as they host Clark University on Katz Field at 7 PM.
