MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.
We continue the series with Samrin LaPrise (Windsor, Conn.), a rising junior from our men's lacrosse program:
How did you get into your sport? Sophomore year of high school. I thought I'd give it a shot, having played baseball my whole life.
Why did you choose Curry? I chose Curry to further my education and play lacrosse.
What hobbies do you have outside your sport? Lifting, hanging out with friends, and cooking.
What is your dream job? Become a business owner of some sort.
What is your greatest sports moment? Probably the second day of states senior year when they tell you that you have a two-pound allowance.
What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Hang out and go out to eat.
Interesting fact about yourself? I can be the energy in the room when needed.
Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Skydiving, 2. Surf in Hawaii, and 3. Bring home a championship.
Do you have any pregame/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? Pregame = one pickle.
