Men’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes Shave Heads to Donate $21,000 For Boston Children’s Hospital

MILTON, MASS. – On Sunday, March 1 in the Miller Field House on the campus of Curry College, members of the Curry College men's lacrosse team participated in a charity event for Lacrosse For Life and Boston Children's Hospital.

The student-athletes shaved their heads for pediatric research at Boston Children's Hospital. For each student-athlete who shaved their head, $1,000 will be donated to support patients at the hospital.

21 members of the team shaved their heads and each one has done their part to support those in need.

"When asked if we would like to take part in this fundraising opportunity, it was a no-brainer for us," said Head Coach Tim Murphy. "We really appreciated the opportunity to join up with Lacrosse For Life and are thankful for the donors who were willing to give $1,000 to Boston Children's Hospital for every head that was shaved.  March 1 was a fun day for our program and a great day for college lacrosse and Boston Children's Hospital."
