Canton, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team defeated Suffolk on Friday night, taking the Rams down 6-2. The win marks Curry's 8th straight, and puts them at 16-3-0 on the season and 10-2-0 in CNE play.

The Colonels wasted no time, getting out to an early lead less than a minute into the game. Alex Duncan scored his seventh goal of the season off of assists from Casper Soderling and Nolan McDonough. Just a minute later the lead was doubled, as Karim Gayfullin scored his sixth goal of the season from Jesse Galassi and Manny Cabral. The momentum would continue, as the Colonels made it 3-0 less than five minutes into the game, as Cabral scored his sixth goal of the season from Taurin Haddon-Harris. The Colonels would add two more in the final six minutes of the period, as Grady Friedman scored twice, with Cole Weigner picking up an assist on both goals. This made it 5-0 after one period. After the Rams scored two power play goals in the second, the Colonels scored one last goal, as Victor Daigneault scored his third goal of the season, unassisted.

A highlight of the game came with six minutes left in the game, as backup senior goalie Jon Kopack made the first appearance of his career for the Colonels. He was immediately met with a shot, and made the save look easy. Shane Soderwall picked up his 15th win of the season by making 20 saves.

The Colonels won 35 of 60 faceoffs, led by Eelis Laaksonen going 12 of 17.
