Canton, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team cruised to another victory on Saturday, beating Anna Maria 5-2. With the win, the Colonels are now 11-3 on the season, while the AMCATS are now 7-4.

The Colonels came out and pushed the pace from the beginning, outshooting the AMCATS 17-6 in the first period. They kicked off the scoring midway through the period, as Killian Rowlee scored off of passes from Taurin Haddon-Harris and Casper Soderling. With just three minutes left in the period, the Colonels doubled their lead when Shane Carr put home a loose puck in front of the net. It was Carr's first career goal.

The score would stay 2-0 until the midway point of the second period when the AMCATS would score a fluky goal. But the Colonels responded almost immediately, as Soderling scored on assists from Rowlee and Carr.

The third period saw the Colonels on their heels, as the AMCATS outshooting Curry 16-6 in the period. They would inch closer with a power play goal at the seven minute mark, but never get any closer. At the 12 minute mark Gage Dill won a faceoff back to Eelis Laaksonen, who whipped it at the net. It was tipped in home by Manny Cabral, giving the Colonels a two goal lead once again. Just three minutes later they would add on, as Gage Dill carried the puck into the zone, and fired home the fifth goal of the game for the Colonels.

Shane Soderwall picked up his 11th win on the season, making 29 saves.

Up Next - The Colonels will return to play next Friday when they host Keene State at 7pm.
