Sophomore goalkeeper Shane Soderwall led the Colonels to a pair of decisive victories over conference rival Nichols College on Friday and Saturday to earn CNE Goalie of the Week honors. Soderwall had 20 saves in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Bison and 35 saves in the 6-0 shutout the following day. He is 7-1 through eight starts and has made 204 saves so far.
Killian Rowlee was another instrumental player in Curry's domination of Nichols over the weekend, scoring a total of four points through the two games. Rowlee had an assist in Friday's contest and scored three goals for a hat-trick on Saturday. He has a plus eight +/- stat on the season and is tied for the team-high with Eelis Laaksonen for goals and assists with five and two.
The Colonels head to New York next weekend to take on SUNY Cortland in a pair of games. Puck drops for the first game on Saturday, December 1st, at noon.
