Burrilville, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team made easy work of Nichols on Saturday, beating the Bison 6-0. The Colonels are now 7-1-0 on the season, and 5-1-0 in CNE play. Nichols is now 2-4-2 and 1-3-2.

The Colonels wasted no time, getting on the scoreboard just five minutes into the game on a Killian Rowlee goal. He would then add another nine minutes later, giving the Colonels a 2-0 lead after one period. Rowlee wasn't done, as he would complete the hat trick just 90 seconds into the second period.

Later in the second period, the Colonels added to their lead on a Karim Gayfullin goal. They would add two more in the third, as Casper Soderling and Jacob Crespo each scored a power play goal.

Despite outscoring the Bison 6-0, the Colonels were outshot by the Bison 35-29.

Shane Soderwall stopped all 35 shots he faced, giving him his fourth shutout of the season. It was also his ninth career shutout. Both marks are one short of the program records. Soderwall set the record for shutouts in a season with five last year. The career mark of 10 was set by Lenny Mosca.

Rowlee's hat trick was the second of his career. His first hat trick, last season against Suffolk on November 11th, was the last time a Colonel had a hat trick.

Up Next - The Colonels will head to New York next weekend to take on SUNY Cortland in a pair of games. The first will be on Saturday at 12pm.
