Curry College men's ice hockey junior forward Mark Zhukov (St. Petersburg, Russia) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
BIDDEFORD, Maine - Curry College men's ice hockey junior forward Mark Zhukov (St. Petersburg, Russia) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Zhukov led Curry with three points on the weekend as the Colonels came out victorious in the Curry College Tournament with wins over Stonehill and UMass Boston. Zhukov netted two goals and an assist in the championship game to earn the game's number one star, and finished the weekend tied for the team-lead with a +3 rating.
The Colonels will return to the ice on Friday evening with their first road game and first CCC game of the 2021-22 season when they face Western New England University. Puck drop from West Springfield's Olympia Ice Center is slated for 7 p.m.
