BIDDEFORD, Maine - Curry College men's ice hockey freshman Eelis Laaksonen (Oulu, Finland) has been named Rookie of the Week by the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The announcement came from the league office on Monday afternoon.

Laaksonen finished the week with three goals and an assist for four points. The rookie netted a hat trick and added an assist in Curry's 4-1 over Nichols on Friday evening.

Laaksonen is Curry men's ice hockey's third weekly award honoree this season, joining November 1 Player of the Week Mark Zhukov (St. Petersburg, Russia) and November 22 Goaltender of the Week Reid Cooper (Corman Park, Saskatchewan).
