HAT TRICKS ADD LOCAL FORWARD ZACH WHITE

MILTON, Mass. – Former Curry College men's ice hockey student-athlete Zach White '19 (Milford, Conn.) has signed a professional contract with the Danbury Hat Tricks for the 2020-21 season, the team announced Thursday. The Hat Tricks are a member of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL).

After graduating, White briefly played for the Fayetteville Marksmen in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). He joined the Dogs de Cholet in France last season, leading the team in goals with 16, ranking seventh in the league.

White – who served as team captain for his senior season – finished his four-year career with 87 points (49-38-87) in 93 career games. In his senior season, the Milford, Conn. native collected 39 points (23-16-39) in 26 games.

"Zach is a highly-skilled energy forward. We look forward to having him part of the exciting brand we play in Danbury," said first-year head coach Anthony Bohn.

White was a Second Team All-Conference selection in 2019 and was also a two-time semifinalist for the   Joe Concannon Award, which recognizes the best American-born player at the NCAA Division II/III level playing in New England.

"Zach possesses a pro skill set along with the willingness to compete," said General Manager Billy McCreary '07. "Most importantly for us, he is a tremendous person. We have a precedent here in Danbury of building leaders within our community and we are confident that after spending four years at Curry College, with the expectations they instill within their student-athletes, that Zach is going to be embraced by our organization as well as our community."

The team will be releasing information about their schedule and ticket information shortly. The team will be hosting a virtual meet-and-greet with new head coach Anthony Bohn on their YouTube channel Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 p.m.
