MILTON, Mass. – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) is once again recognizing varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2019-20 season with the announcement of the fourth annual Krampade All-American Scholars. 

Due to the effects of COVID-19 on actual grades in the spring, the AHCA adopted revised criteria for this year's honorees. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for the fall semester and participated in 40% of their school's games.

The Curry College men's ice hockey team had 16 student-athletes qualify for the honor. The 16 selections are tied with Albertus Magnus College for the most of any Division II/III men's program on the list.  

The following Curry College men's ice hockey student-athletes were named to the list:

Alex Ochterbeck (Dallas, Texas) – Management

Tarek Paranica (Grand Forks, N.D.) – Communication

Mike Pellegrini (Markham, Ontario) – Accounting

Vilhelm Peltonen (Helsinki, Finland) – Accounting

Kalle Sundell (Helsinki, Finland) – Communication

Joseph Thielen (Huntington Beach, Calif.) – Criminal Justice
