Enmark Gets His 100th Point as Hockey Earns 4-2 ECAC Northeast Victory at Becker College
Marlborough, Mass.- Curry College scored two third period goals, as the Colonels held off Becker College for a 4-2 win in men's ice hockey action.
The Hawks got the scoring started 13:05 into the first period. Just as Jerry Hotarek (Foster City, Calif) was coming out of the Curry penalty box, Trevor Peltak (Merrimack, NH) netted his second goal of the season.
The Colonels tied the game 12:45 into the second period when John Williams (Flourtown, PA) rebound a Payden Benning (Estevan, Saskatchewan) shot, tipping it past Becker goalie Jake Rosenthal (Wantagh, NY). The Colonels took their first lead of the game when Connor Hendry (Calgary, Alberta) ripped shot past the stick side of Rosenthal.
The Hawks tied the game 2:24 into the third period when sophomore Jeremy Narducci (Apex, NC) skated past the Curry defense, scoring an unassisted goal. The Colonels tallied the eventual game-winner, when Jonathan Miller (Freehold, NJ) scored on a feed from Ross Enmark (Shelby Township, Mich) and Michael Guzzo (Pinckney, Mich). Michael Guzzo added an empty net goal, making the final score 4-2.
Curry goalie Zachary Cardella (Spokane, Wash) made 29 saves, as the Colonels improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the ECAC Northeast.
Jake Rosenthal made 27 saves in a losing effort, as the Hawks fell to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the ECAC Northeast.
