Hockey Downs Becker 6-2

MILTON, Mass.- Curry College defeated Becker College, 6-2, in men's ice hockey action on Saturday night in Milton, Mass.  The Hawks fall to 8-9-1  overall and 4-4 in conference play, while the Colonels improve to 13-5-1 and 7-0-1 in the ECAC Northeast.

Curry scored two goals in the first period to take an early 2-0 lead before Becker would get on the board with just over three minutes left.  Junior Alex Hofman and sophomore John Williams would each score for the Colonels while freshman David Graham would score for the Hawks. 

Becker had the momentum at the start of the second period when Graham would score his second of the night and tie the game at two.   It didn't take long for Curry to answer back and regain the lead.  Freshman George Isham would score what would be the game-winner.  The Colonels would go on to score two more goals before the end of the period to take a 5-2 lead heading into the third period.   Williams would score his second of the game and sophomore Steven Mohler scored his first. 

In the third, Curry would score its sixth and final goal of the night from freshman Connor Hendry.
 
Senior goaltender Steven Jakiel earned the win in net for the Colonels making 18 saves. Sophomore Jake Rosenthal made 25 saves in the loss.

Curry's next game is away at Western New England on February 4th at 7:25 p.m. Becker hosts Nichols on February 3rd at 8:30 p.m.
