CHICOPEE, Mass. - Curry College defeated Elms College 59-56 Tuesday night in a non-conference men's basketball game at Picknelly Arena.

Trailing by two points with only 22 seconds remaining, senior forward Nick Johnson (Athens, Ga.) scored on a layup to tie the game at 56-56. The first half of the game went to Curry as Favour Okeke (East Hartford, Conn.) and James Scali (Newburyport, Mass.) led the Colonels with six points apiece coming off the bench to put the Colonels on top 33-26 heading into halftime.

Romans stepped up in the second half, scoring 13 of Curry's 26 points while going 4-for-7 from the field and 2-for-3 from deep to keep the Colonels in the game.
