Men's Basketball Quieted by Suffolk

BOSTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's basketball team dropped a 102-52 decision to Suffolk University Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

With the defeat, Curry drops to 2-21 overall on the season and 1-15 in the CCC.

Suffolk's offense started to click right off the hop, as the Rams put up 62 points in the first half to take control of the contest. The Colonels shot just 24 percent in the opening 20 minutes as Suffolk took a 37-point lead with them into the locker room.

Suffolk continued to control the game in the second half, outpacing the Colonels 40-27 to second the 102-52 win.

Sophomore Lowelle Torres (Vineland, N.J.) paced Curry offensively with nine points. Coming off the bench, classmate Frankie Santiago (New Britain, Conn.) contributed eight points of his own. 

Curry will be back at home on Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff against Wentworth from the Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium.
